The numbers 1 – 7 on the Temperature Control Rotary Knob are the temperature
grades, NOT degrees Celsius (°C) on the Temperature scale.
(note: the higher the number, the lower the thermostat and the colder the
temperature. The default temperature is 3~4.)
When food needs to be quickly frozen, turn the Temperature Control Rotary Knob
to 5. When the food has frozen, turn back the Temperature Control Rotary Knob to
between 3~4. Increasing the temperature from a higher value (colder) to a lower
one (hotter) should always be done in increments of 1 over several hours.
DO NOT turn the Temperature Control Rotary Knob from a high value to a much
lower one without first gradually decreasing its value.
DO NOT leave the door of the appliance open for long periods of time or open the
door repeatedly within short periods of time to avoid significant increases in
temperature leading to the spoilage of food. This action, if repeated often, can
damage to the appliance and lead to the shortening of the life of the appliance.
DO NOT place or use any electrical appliances inside the appliance unless
recommended by the manufacturer.
Avoid storing containers made of glass or canned items, as they may break or
explode upon freezing.
Avoid storing medicine or medical products in the appliance.
If the appliance is to be left empty for a long period of time, switch it off, defrost,
clean, dry and leave the door open to prevent mould from developing within the
appliance.
Freezer Compartment
Place fresh and clean raw food, wrapped in airtight boxes or aluminium foil, as
quickly as possible to prevent degradation of food as much as possible and to
preserve the freshness, taste and nutrients in the food. It is advisable to place each
food item in a separate bag or container to avoid mixing of fluids prior to freezing.
DO NOT allow frozen food present in the freezer compartment to have direct
contact with food to be frozen.
DO NOT place fresh fruits and vegetables into the freezer compartment.
Refrigerator Compartment
Avoid putting large amounts of food into the appliance at the same time. Make sure
that there is ample space around each package of food item in order to ensure
adequate circulation of cold air.
Warm food should be allowed to cool down to room temperature before placing
them into the appliance.
In addition to emitting various smells, cooked food especially meat, fish & other
seafood, or pickled dishes, etc. may dry out when being placed in the refrigerator
compartment. As such, cooked food should be covered and sealed with clingfilm,
wrapped in aluminium foil, or stored in airtight containers.
Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers at the bottom of the refrigerator
compartment BELOW cooked food so that it is NOT in contact with or allowed to
drip onto other food.
