Function Description:

The PowerXL Steamer Air Fryer combines the benefits of a steamer and an air fryer, allowing users to cook with hot steam, hot air, or a combination of both.

  • Steam Mode: This mode cooks food using hot steam, ideal for vegetables, fish, eggs, and other items that benefit from gentle, moist cooking. Presets include Vegetable (212°F/100°C for 10 mins), Fish (212°F/100°C for 10 mins), Eggs (212°F/100°C for 16 mins), Fries (212°F/100°C for 20 mins), Chicken (212°F/100°C for 30 mins), Steak (212°F/100°C for 15 mins), Bread (212°F/100°C for 4 mins), Defrost (212°F/100°C for 8 mins), and Bake (212°F/100°C for 40 mins). The default setting for Steam mode is 212°F/100°C for 18 minutes.
  • Air Fry Mode: This mode utilizes hot air to crisp and cook food, perfect for achieving a fried texture with less oil. Presets include Vegetable (320°F/160°C for 12 mins), Fish (350°F/177°C for 10 mins), Eggs (250°F/121°C for 16 mins), Fries (400°F/204°C for 18 mins), Chicken (370°F/188°C for 35 mins), Steak (400°F/204°C for 15 mins), Bread (320°F/160°C for 25 mins), Defrost (180°F/82°C for 15 mins), and Bake (310°F/154°C for 30 mins). The default setting for Air Fry mode is 370°F/188°C for 18 minutes.
  • Combo Mode: This unique mode cooks with steam and air frying interchangeably, offering a versatile approach to cooking. When the steam cycle finishes in combo mode, the appliance beeps five times to indicate the water should be emptied before the air frying cycle automatically begins. Usage Features:

    • Never immerse the main unit housing, cord, or plugs in water or other liquids.
    • Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug.
    • Unplug when not in use and allow 30 minutes to cool before handling or cleaning.
    • Do not cover the Air Intake Vent or Hot Air Outlet Vent.
    • Avoid using aerosol cooking sprays as they can damage the nonstick coating.
    • Do not use sharp utensils that can damage the non-stick coating.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Clean the appliance after each use.
    • The basket and fry tray have a nonstick surface; avoid abrasive cleaning materials or utensils.
    • The main unit housing should be wiped with a warm, moist cloth and mild detergent. Do not submerge.
    • The basket and fry tray can be hand-washed with hot water, mild detergent, and a nonabrasive sponge.
    • The fry tray is dishwasher safe, though hand-washing is recommended to preserve its life and appearance.
    • For difficult-to-remove food particles, soak the fry tray in hot, soapy water for 10 minutes.
    • The inside of the appliance should be cleaned with hot water, mild detergent, and a nonabrasive cloth or sponge. Do not scrub the heating coils.
    • Remove unwanted food residue with a soft nylon bristle brush if necessary.
    • Wipe the appliance with a clean, damp cloth, then a clean, dry cloth to dry the interior. Do not leave standing water.
    • Rubber bumpers on the fry tray can be removed for cleaning and reattached by aligning the hole with the slot and pushing.
    • Do not use petroleum products for cleaning, as they can damage the housing and control panel.
  • Self-Cleaning Function: The appliance features a self-cleaning function to remove limescale from the water tank. This should be used after approximately 20 hours of use or after each cooking process if the appliance is not used often.
    • To use, add about ½ ounce (14.5 ml) of vinegar to 2 cups (500 ml) of water, stir until dissolved, and add the mixture to the water tank.
    • Press the Clean Button on the Control Panel. The machine will automatically enter self-cleaning mode and shut down when complete.
    • Rinse the system by filling the water tank with water and pressing the Clean Button again to remove any residual taste.
  • Storage: Unplug the appliance, allow it to cool thoroughly, ensure all components are clean and dry, and store it in a clean, dry place.
