InstructionsforMechanicalInstallation
PV modules are exposed to a wide range of mechanical conditions, so that surface stress may
appear.Duetothedifferentthermalcoefficientsofglassandmetalstructures,thermalstresscan
occurasaresultofthemoduleoutdoorexposure.NationalCodesStandards(EuroCodeEN1991,
DIN1055,etc.)setbasicsrulestobefollowedfortheplanningofastructuralframeworkandthe
buildingofstructures.
Modules must be securely fixed and should not be in direct contact with metal parts. All direct
contacts of the modules with metal parts of the substructure must be prevented. Rubber (or
alternative isolating material) is required between the substructures and the modules. The
suggested material is Ethylene‐Propylene‐Diene‐Monomer rubber (EPDM) for its reliability and
longlifetime.
Modules needto be fixed on the lower edge and must be fastened linearly along both vertical
sidesinaccordance withthe supportstructure.Anhorizontalmiddlesupportis placedtoenable
the center fastening and to prevent non‐admissible bending of the modules. The horizontally

There will be some unavoidablebending of modules, butdo notforce them to adjust, as it may
cause breaks or weakening of the structure, making modules less resistant to additional
mechanicalloads.

This module is classified according to Class C fire rating and must be installed over a roof of

NOTE
Photovoltaic panels achieve maximum output efficiency when they
are positioned perpendicularly to the source of light. Panel
orientation and angle of inclination may considerably influence
annual electrical power output. The support structure provided by
the installation designing engineer must take into account the
