2. Opening up a balance
2.1 General procedure for opening up a Series 490 balance
1. Disconnect the balance from the main ( Pull out main plug)
2. Bring the balance in normal working position
3. Remove the weighing pan
4. Unscrew 6 screws and remove the cover
2.2 General procedure for opening up a Series 490 IP65 balance
1. Disconnect the balance from the main ( Pull out main plug)
2. Bring the balance in normal working position
3. Remove the weighing pan
4. Disassemble 4 membranes → see Illustration 1.
5. Unscrew 6 screws and remove the cover (don‘t spoil the seal).
