26 Assembling and Maintaining Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainers: EFX 885 / 835 / 815
To mount the center column support on the frame:
Note: Check that the base fasteners are loose before
installing the fasteners for the central column support.
1. Have your assistant support the center column support
while you align the inside mounting brackets with the
upright supports.
2. Fasten the center column support to each upright support
by threading a buttonhead screw, a ⁵₁₆-inch washer, and a
split washer through opposite mounting holes.

Important: When wrench-tightening the screws, make sure
the head of the fastener is parallel to the product surface. If it
is not, stop tightening to avoid cross-threading. To avoid
further damage, stop assembly work and contact Customer
Support.
