      alyssa36Jul 31, 2025
If your Predator Engine stops suddenly, you should first fill the engine oil to the proper level, checking it before EVERY use. Next, ensure the fuel tank is filled with fresh 87+ octane unleaded gasoline, avoiding gasoline with more than 10% ethanol. You can also test or replace the fuel tank cap and secure the spark plug cap. If these steps don't resolve the issue, have a qualified technician service the magneto.

Why Predator Engine will not start?
    • R
      Rebecca HillOct 25, 2025
There could be several fuel-related reasons why your Predator Engine won't start. Make sure there is fuel in the tank and the throttle is not at the SLOW setting; if so, fill the fuel tank and move the throttle to a faster setting. If the engine is cold, ensure the choke is in the CHOKE position. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol (E15, E20, E85, etc.); instead, use fresh 87+ octane unleaded gasoline. Also, the carburetor may not be primed, so pull the Starter Handle to prime. Check for dirty fuel passageways and clean them using a fuel additive. If you smell fuel, the carburetor needle might be stuck; gently tap the side of the carburetor float chamber with a screwdriver handle. If there's too much fuel in the chamber, turn the Choke to the RUN position, remove the spark plug...
