Wafe batter recipes (see below and page 6), packaged pancake and wafe mixes, all-purpose baking mixes, cake mixes, mufn mixes
Batter mix-in options:
Stir 1 teaspoon spice, herb, or seasoning into batch of wafe batter. Cinnamon pairs well with fruit lling. Italian seasoning goes well
with pizza and Mediterranean llings.
The addition of 2 teaspoons of vanilla and ¼ teaspoon of almond extract provides a cake-like avor for fruit and dessert wafes.
Filling options:
The total amount of lling generally should not exceed ½ cup to prevent overlling.

Batter Recipes
Classic Wafes
2 cups all-purpose our
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1¾ cups milk
2 eggs
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Mix our, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk milk, eggs, and oil in a medium bowl. Whisk milk mixture into dry
ingredients just until dry ingredients are thoroughly moistened. Preheat wafe maker with wafe tongs in unit. Follow instructions on
pages 2 and 3, cooking wafes for 7 minutes.
About 4 stuffed wafes
Variation: If using this recipe for fruit or dessert waffles, you may wish to add 2 teaspoons vanilla extract and ¼ teaspoon almond extract.
