Preparation
Suitable location
– The standing surface must be
firm, horizontal, dry, waterproof
and durable.
– Place the appliance so that it
and the mains cord are inac-
cessible to young children.
– Do not set up the appliance di-
rectly beside a cooker or other
heat source.
– Any water that seeps into the
housing may damage the ap-
pliance. Do not set up the ap-
pliance near taps or a sink.
– When laying out the mains cord,
ensure that it will not be dam-
aged by sharp edges or through
contact with hot surfaces (e.g.
electric hobs).
– The appliance could be dam-
aged if the water inside it freezes.
Do not place the appliance in
a room where the temperature
may fall below freezing.
Cleaning before use
1. Remove all pieces of packag-
ing from the appliance.
2. Clean the appliance as de-
scribed in chapter „Cleaning“
auf Seite 19.
Empty cycle run
Before the first use and after long
periods of disuse, perform a brew-
ing cycle with a full load of water
(without coffee) and pour it away
after it has run through.
