the handle.

caling process. Contact with
this water can cause scalding.

Regular descaling will prolong the
life of the appliance, ensure that it
works correctly, and save energy.
How often you need to descale
the appliance will depend on your
water hardness. More or less li-
mescale will form depending on
how hard your water is.
You will need a full water tank plus
– 2 to 3 tablespoons of citric acid
solution
– or descaling solution as in-
structed by the manufacturer.
1. Pour the descaling liquid into
the water tank (5) and close
the water tank lid (4).
2. Allow the descaling liquid to
run through. (For the proce-
dure see section „Brewing
coffee from ground coffee“ auf
Seite 16, steps 4 to 7)
3. Pour the descaling liquid away
after it has run through.
4. Let the maximum water quan-
tity flow through 3 times to
rinse.
The coffee machine will then
be ready for use again.
