Overview
•ThePro‐Tronikchargerfeaturesmanyautomaticfunctionswhichadjustthechargingcurrentandvoltageduringcharge/dischargeprocess.
RegardingtheLithiumbatteries,aspecialprocessisused,reducingsignificantlytheover‐chargeandfirerisks,generallyduetouser
programmingerrors.Thechargerisdesignedtostopanyerraticchargeprocess,whenthisarises.
•ThePro‐Tronikchargerusesasophisticatedbalancingcircuitallowingthechargertocheckandbalanceeachlithiumcellinrealtime(when
balancingsocketisusedin).
•ThechargerprogramisabletofastchargetheLithiumbatteries,reducingthechargetimecomparedtostandardchargingprocess(please
alwaysrespectthecellsmanufacturerrecommendations).Thechargerisalsoabletocharge/dischargeLithiumcellsinordertostorethemfor
severalweekswithoutdamagingthecells.Alongstoringtimecandeterioratethebatterychemistryandperformanceswhentheyarenotstored
atanappropriatevoltage.
•TheendchargefunctionisbasedonthedeltaPeaksensingmethod.Whenthecellvoltagereachesaprogrammedvalue,thechargeprocessis
automaticallyended(forsomebatteriesspecialvaluesneedtobemanuallyentered,pleasecheckfurthersectionsofmanualfordetails)
•ItispossibletoletthechargerdecideofthemaximumchargecurrentortoinputthevaluemanuallywhenchargingNi‐Cd/Ni‐Mhbatteries.
Thiscanbehelpfulwhenchargingcellswithlowinternalresistance.
•Themaximumcapacityisalwayscalculatedonthechargetimemultiplicatedonthechargecurrent.Ifamaximum(limit)valueissetup,the
