      If your Proctor-Silex oven isn't heating, first ensure that the electrical outlet is working and the oven is properly plugged in. Next, turn the Temperature Knob to 350°F (175ºC) and turn the ON/OFF/Toast Shade Selector/Timer Knob to the ON position. The red ON light should illuminate.

      If your Proctor-Silex oven isn't toasting, verify that the outlet is working and the oven is plugged in. Then, turn the Temperature Knob to TOAST and set the ON/OFF/Toast Shade Selector/Timer Knob to your desired toast color. The red ON light should then illuminate. Also, make sure you rotate the ON/OFF/Toast Shade Selector/Timer Knob clockwise past 10 minutes before rotating counterclockwise to the desired toast color.
