If you experience a problem with your appliance or are concerned that the
appliance is not functioning correctly, you can carry out some easy checks
according to below table before calling for service.
Warning !
Do not try to repair the appliance yourself. If the problem persists after you have
made the checks mentioned below, contact a qualied electrician, authorized
service engineer or the store where you purchased the product.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible Causes & Solution
Appliance does not
operate.
• Check that the freezer is plugged into the mains socket
properly and that the outlet is switched on.
• Check the fuse is not blown.
• Check the circuit breaker is not tripped.
Freezer is noisy.
• Check that the freezer is placed on a level surface.
• Check the contents for loose items that may be vibrating
against the interior walls.
Temperature inside
the freezer is too
high.
• Turn the temperature control knob to a colder setting and allow
several hours for the temperature to stabilize.
• Door is kept open too long or is opened too frequently. Warm
air enters the freezer every time the door is opened. Open the
door less often.
• Check that the door is closed completely.
• Ensure that the door gasket does not seal properly.
• A large amount of warm or hot food might have been stored
recently. Wait until the freezer has reached its set temperature.
The motor runs
continuously.
It is normal to frequently hear the sound of the motor, and under the
following circumstances the motor will run continuously.
• The temperature control knob is set to a colder setting.
• Large quantity of warm food has recently been stored in the
appliance.
• The temperature outside the appliance is too high.
• Doors are kept open too long or too often.
• After you install the appliance or it has been switched o for
a long time.
The door will not
close properly.
• Check that the freezer is on a level surface.
• Check that the gasket is not dirty.
Bad smell in the
appliance
Food with strong odour should be packed tightly before being put
inside the appliance.
Please check whether there is any deteriorated item or whether the
door seals are left dirty for a long time.
