Why can't I smell the fragrance from my Prolitec Accessories?
    • E
      Elizabeth WrightJul 31, 2025
If you can't detect the fragrance from your Prolitec Accessories unit when entering the treated area from an untreated area, it could be due to a low output rate or an insufficient number of appliances for the space. Try increasing the output rate by one or two settings and check for improvement after 30 minutes. Repeat as needed. If the cartridge needs changing more often than monthly, consider installing another appliance. Alternatively, the O-Rings on the stem that fits into the head may be worn out and causing an air leak. Replace the O-Rings by removing the worn one with a pointy tool and rolling on the new ones.

      Miranda BirdAug 4, 2025
If the fragrance intensity from your Prolitec Accessories unit is stronger than just detectable, the output rate is likely too high. Lower the output rate in increments of one or two settings, or reduce it to the starting rates suggested in the room size chart.

      Erik SpearsAug 9, 2025
If your Prolitec Accessories unit does not start automatically after a power interruption, the back-up battery may not be working. Ensure that the protective yellow battery tab has been removed and that the battery is positioned with the positive side facing the right. If needed, replace the back-up battery.

Why do I stop smelling the Prolitec Accessories fragrance after a while?
    • R
      Robert WilliamsAug 14, 2025
This is normal and is called olfactory adaptation. Leave the area for 5 to 10 minutes. When you come back inside, you will smell the fragrance once again. Do not hesitate to repeat this process every time that you doubt the presence of the fragrance in the area.

What to do if my Prolitec Accessories unit has power but no fragrance?

      Diana PearsonOct 25, 2025
If the power light on your Prolitec Accessories unit is on, you can hear the compressor, but you don't detect any fragrance, the output tube may be blocked. To resolve this: * Remove the hose from the output tube, leaving the cartridge in place. Turn the appliance on to hear the compressor. Use a flashlight to check the top of the output head for a plume of droplets. If you see a plume, the blockage might be in the hose or the injector tube into the HVAC, so check those. * If there's no plume, something is blocking the output tube. Check it and remove any blockage. Another method for clearing obstructions is to block the output tube with a finger for a few seconds while the compressor is running, then remove your finger. Also, the O-Rings on the stem that fits into the head may be wo...
