Overview

The PURELL ES6 Dispensing System is a modern, durable, and reliable hand hygiene solution designed for various environments, from healthcare facilities to public spaces. Built on over 70 years of dispensing innovation, this system aims to provide a beautiful and functional way to promote cleanliness, health, and well-being. The system includes both hand sanitizer and healthy soap dispensers, catering to different hand hygiene needs.

Function Description

The primary function of the PURELL ES6 Dispensing System is to dispense PURELL hand sanitizer or soap in a controlled and hygienic manner. The dispensers are designed for frequent use, making them suitable for high-traffic areas. They utilize a sensor-activated mechanism for touch-free dispensing, which helps reduce the spread of germs. The system is available for both soap and sanitizer, offering a comprehensive hand hygiene solution.

Usage Features

Ease of Use: The PURELL ES6 system is designed for straightforward operation. To dispense product, users simply place their palm approximately 2 inches below the dispenser. The sensor detects the hand, and the product is dispensed within 1 second of sensor activation. This touch-free operation enhances hygiene and user convenience.

Refill Design and Visibility: A key usage feature is the AT-A-GLANCE™ refill design. This innovative design allows users to easily see when refills need to be changed, preventing unexpected outages. The clear refill bottles provide a visual indicator of the product level, ensuring timely replacement.

Aesthetic Appeal: The dispensers feature a distinct PURELL brand design that is engineered to fit seamlessly into various environments. Each new refill refreshes the look of the dispenser, maintaining a clean and modern appearance. This attention to aesthetics ensures that the dispensers not only function well but also contribute positively to the overall environment.

Refill Replenishment Process: Replacing refills is a simple, multi-step process:

  1. Open Dispenser: Press the release buttons on the sides of the dispenser and slide the front cover down.
  2. Remove Empty Refill: Push the green release button and remove the empty refill.
  3. Match Label: Ensure the label on the new refill matches the label on the dispenser (e.g., SOAP ES6).
  4. Insert New Refill: Remove the cap from the new refill and push it into the dispenser until it clicks in place.
  5. Close Dispenser: Close the dispenser cover. A blinking green status light will indicate that the dispenser is ready to use.

Dispenser Indicator Light: The dispenser includes an indicator light that provides important status information:

  • Blinking GREEN Light: Indicates that the dispenser is ready for use.
  • No Blinking Light: Suggests that the batteries need to be replaced.

Locking Mechanism (LOCK OR NOT™ Technology): The PURELL ES6 system incorporates LOCK OR NOT™ Technology, allowing the dispenser to be converted into a locking system if desired. This feature provides added security and prevents unauthorized access to the refills.

  • To Lock: Align the LOCK OR NOT™ Technology Key (not included) with the keyhole on top of the dispenser and push down until a click is heard. Once locked, the dispenser will always require the key to open.
  • To Check Lock: Press the release buttons on the sides of the dispenser to see if the front cover releases. If locked, it will remain in place.
  • To Manually Unlock: Push the locking mechanism toward the top of the dispenser. This will leave the dispenser in an unlocked state until the key is inserted to re-lock the system.
  • To Manually Remove "Auto-Lock" Function: Unlock the dispenser using the key, remove the refill, and take off the white back plate of the dispenser.

ADA Compliance: The system is fully ADA compliant, ensuring accessibility for all users.

Maintenance Features

Sanitary Sealed Refills: The PURELL ES6 system uses SANITARY SEALED™ refills. This design helps reduce the potential for contamination, ensuring that the product remains hygienic from manufacturing to dispensing. This feature is crucial for maintaining a high standard of hand hygiene, especially in healthcare settings.

Refill Recyclability: The refills are recyclable, contributing to environmental sustainability. After use, the PET bottle and collar can be disposed of or recycled according to local guidelines.

Refill Disposal/Recycling Process:

  1. Separate Collar: Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slots on the refill collar and twist to separate the collar from the refill.
  2. Unscrew Pump: Unscrew the pump from the bottle and discard it.
  3. Recycle Bottle and Collar: Dispose of or recycle the PET bottle and collar.

Care and Cleaning Instructions: Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the dispenser's appearance and functionality:

  1. Remove Refill: Always remove the refill before cleaning to prevent accidental actuation of soap.
  2. Routine Wiping: Routinely wipe dispensers with a soft, moist cloth.
  3. Targeted Cleaning: Pay special attention to cleaning under the dispenser or push bar, as product may build up in these areas.
  4. Approved Cleaners: Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents, as these can scratch the plastic and labeling or dull the plastic. Use hospital-approved disinfectant and other typical cleaning solutions.

The PURELL ES6 Dispensing System combines advanced technology with user-friendly design and robust maintenance features to deliver a superior hand hygiene experience. Its focus on durability, reliability, and hygiene makes it an ideal choice for any facility committed to promoting health and wellness.
