QASS µmagnetic Sensor
The sensor itself consists of a coil that
collects high-frequency Barkhausen Noise
and of a magnetic field coil that produces
the excitation field. During the hardness
testing, QASS µmagnetic magnetizes the
compenent. Consequently, jumps occur
in the strength of the magnetic field. The
system records these jumps in real-time.
Attention
Do not expose the sensor to a tempera-
ture above 70° Celsius (186° Fahrenheit).
To prevent overheating, turn of the excita-
tion field between measurings.
Recommended settings for the excitation
field that can be done in the signal gene-
rator of Optimizer4D:
Step Value
Amplitude 4 0,25 V
Frequency 1000 100 Hz
The cable that connects the sensor and
the pre-amplifyer comes with MCX plugs.
It comes with several options for length
and surface coating.
Dimensions are shown in millimeters.
