Step 5
Center gate in the opening with the Bottom Bar with
Glow Strip against the floor and make sure gaps on each
side are even on both sides and not too wide. Use the
Installation Level to measure the gap between the gate
frame, or extension, to the door frame or wall. If the Level
fits horizontally, the gap is too wide
and another extension needs to be
added.
Attach Installation Level (magnetic)
to the hinge side of the gate to keep
it vertical during the installation.
This is critical as otherwise the
Spectrum door might not operate
properly.
If the Installation Level held horizontally fits through the
gap between the outmost vertical bar and the frame of
the opening, the gap is too big and you will need to use
an extension. (see page 15)
Step 6
Attach the four Wall Cups to the spindle heads.
Remove the protective liner from the Wall Cup adhesive.
Step 7
IMPORTANT:
During this step it’s critical
to keep the gate vertical
with the help of the Installa-
tion Level to insure that the
Spectrum door will operate
properly.
