Step 2
Assembly
1. Remove the bolt, at washer and arc blocK (
A
) and from the upper shaft.
2. Install the “U” handle onto the top side of the arc block (
B
), which is already assembled on
the drive shaft tube.
3. Insert the bolt through the top arc block and into the bottom block.
4. Adjust the “U” handle to a suitable position to provide good balance and control. Tighten the
screws securely.
Step 3
1. Remove the two screws from the grass guard.
2. Align the screw hole in the mounting bracket with the screw hole in the grass guard.
3. Insert the screws through the mounting bracket and into the grass guard.
4. Tighten the screws securely.

Step 4
Assemble the safety strap.
Step 5 Change from grass trimmer to brush cutter
1. Align the slot in the anged washer with the slot in the gear head.
2. Place the hex wrench through the slot in the anged washer and gear to lock them together.
3. Unscrew the grass trimmer head assembly.
4. Remove the cupped washer and anged washer, and then retain it for the blade installation.
5 Place the anged washer over the gear head shaft with the hollow side toward the gear head.
6. Center the blade on the anged washer, making sure the blade ts at and the raised hub of the
anged washer goes through the hole in the blade (ensure that the direction of rotation for the
blade is as marked on the blade).
7. Install the cupped washer with the raised center away from the blade.
8. Place the blade nut onto the gear head shaft.
9. Place the hex wrench through the slot in the anged washer and gear head to lock the heads
rotation while tightening the nut.
10. Install the blade nut by turning it counterclockwise (left handed threads).
11. Tighten the blade nut securely
NOTE! If changing from brush cutter to grass trimmer follow the instructions in reverse order.
