What to do if QuietCool QC36B3 has no water running over the pads?
    • S
      Sara AndersonAug 8, 2025
First, ensure the water flow valve is open; QuietCool units typically perform best when the valve is open 1 1/4 turns. Check that the main water supply valve is open and the pump switch is on. Also, the water filter may be clogged. To resolve this, remove the cooling pads, open the back of the unit, access the water filter, remove and clean the filter screen, then replace it and try again.

How to fix water on the floor from QuietCool QC36B3?

      Stephanie McdonaldAug 16, 2025
If there's too much water, reduce the water flow using the control valve on the front of the unit, closing it completely and then opening it 1 1/4 turns. (QuietCool units usually operate at peak performance at 1 1/4 turns). Check for cracks in the blue polyethylene housing and repair as needed. Search for leaks and repair as necessary. If leaking is from the bottom of the pads, gently push the bottom of the cooling pads inside to stop it.

How to eliminate foul odor from QuietCool QC36B3 Air Conditioner?
    • E
      emilyfrancisAug 27, 2025
If it's a new unit, the odor is likely temporary from the thermosetting resin on the new pads. Drain and refill the unit several times in the first week to reduce this smell. For ongoing odor issues, add QC Tablets to reduce smell and algae. Water should be drained about once a month or sooner, depending on your specific working environment and water quality.
