Why does my Radio Shack Invisible Beam Entry Alert Security System give false alarms when the infrared beam isn't broken?

  Your Radio Shack Security System might be giving false alarms because the sensor is set out of range, causing it to operate erratically. To resolve this, position the alert and the reflector within 3 to 50 feet of each other. Also, adjust the sensitivity until the false alarms stop. Additionally, readjust and/or reposition the alert and/or reflector. Clean the lenses using a non-abrasive lens cleaning solution and a lint-free cloth.

  If the external siren (or another connected device) of your Radio Shack Security System does not operate, the in-line fuse may be blown. Replace the fuse with one of the same size and type.
