What to do if R&M LOADMATE LM does not lift or lower load?

  If your R&M Chain Hoist isn't lifting or lowering, several things could be happening. First, check if the emergency stop button is activated and deactivate it. A blown fuse could also be the culprit, so replace it. The motor's thermal protection might have kicked in, so allow the motor to cool down. Ensure the pendant plug pin is correctly installed. Also, check that the contactor terminal screws are tightened and that the mainline switch is turned on.

  If your R&M Chain Hoist isn't lifting the load, it could be due to a few reasons. You might be experiencing an overload condition, in which case you should reduce the load. Alternatively, the slip clutch could be worn or incorrectly adjusted; consider replacing wear items or readjusting the slip clutch torque. Another possibility is that the brake isn't releasing, so check the brake coil resistance, air gap setting, and rectifier output voltage, adjusting if necessary.

  If you notice unusual noises when lifting or lowering with your R&M Chain Hoists, here's what might be happening: * The load chain and its components may need lubrication, so clean and lubricate the load chain. * The load chain could be worn and needs replacement. * The chain wheel or chain guide might be worn, requiring replacement. * The idler sprocket could be worn and needs replacing. * A supply phase might be missing; ensure all three phases are connected. * There might be a twist or kink in the load chain; remove it.

  If the load drifts more than 4 inches [100mm] on your R&M Chain Hoists, it could be that the brake lining is worn, or the air gap on the brake is too wide. Replace the worn parts as necessary and adjust the air gap setting.
