22) Use the correct equipment for the application. Do not modify the equipment and do not use the equipment for a purpose
for which it is not intended.
Service Precautions
Before servicing, maintenance or cleaning:
o Turn the engine switch/key to its OFF position.
o Allow the engine components to completely cool
Always keep all safety guards in place and in proper working order. Safety guards can include muffler,
air cleaner, mechanical guards and heat shields, among other guards.
Wear approved safety goggles, heavy-duty gloves, and a dust mask/respirator during service.
Maintain all labels on the saw mill. These show important information. If unreadable, missing or damaged,
contact Range Road for a replacement.
Have the equipment serviced by a qualified repair person using only OEM replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the saw mill is maintained. Do not attempt any service or maintenance procedures
not explained in this manual or any procedures that you are uncertain of your ability to perform in a safe or
correct manner.
Store all equipment out of the reach of children.
Follow scheduled engine and equipment maintenance.
Refueling:
o Do not smoke, or allow sparks, flames, or other sources of ignition around the equipment, especially
when refueling.
o Do not refill the fuel tank while the engine is running or hot.
o Do not fill fuel tank to the top. Leave a little room for the fuel to expand as needed.
o Refuel in a well-ventilated area only.

Note: Engine specifications are found in the engine manual supplied with this saw mill.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY:
Operate only with proper spark arrestor(s) installed. Operation of this equipment may create sparks that can start
fires around dry vegetation and brush. A spark arrestor may be required.
The operator should contact local agencies for laws or regulations relating to fire prevention requirements.
