Generallocationrequirements
Belowareimportantrequirementsthatneedtobeconsideredwhenchoosingasuitablelocationto
installyourproduct.
Theproductissuitableformountingaboveorbelowdeck

Theproductshouldbemountedinalocationwhereitwillbe:
•protectedfromphysicaldamageandexcessivevibration.
•wellventilatedandawayfromheatsources.
•awayfromanypotentialignitionsourcesuchasanengineroom,nearfueltanksoragaslocker.
•easilyaccessibleforoperations.
Whenchoosingalocationfortheproduct,considerthefollowingtoensurereliableandtrouble-free
operation:
•Access—theremustbesufficientspacetoenablecableconnectionsandtoavoidtightcable
bends.
•Electricalinterference—theproductshouldbemountedfarenoughawayfromanyequipment
thatmaycauseinterferencesuchasengines,motors,generators,radiotransmitters/receiversand
cablescarryinghighpower.
•Magneticcompass—refertotheCompasssafedistancesectioninthisdocumentforadviceon
maintainingasuitabledistancebetweenthisproductandanycompassesonyourvessel.
•Mountingsurface—ensuretheproductisadequatelysupportedonasecuresurface.Refertothe
weightinformationprovidedintheT echnicalspecificationforthisproductandensurethatthe
intendedmountingsurfaceissuitableforbearingtheproductweight.DoNOTmountunitsorcut
holesinplaceswhichmaydamagethestructureofthevessel.
