TheST70willsearchfortransducersconnectedtothesystem
anddisplaytheresultsofthesearchasalist.
3.PressENTERtoproceedandsetuptheparametersforthe
transducersfound.
Therearesettingsavailablefor:
Depth
Speed
Wind
Temperature
DST(DepthSpeed,Temperaturesmarttransducers)
DT(Depth,T emperaturesmarttransducers)
Speedcalibration
Speedcalibrationinvolvesaligningthelogspeed(SpeedThrough
Water)totheSpeedoverground(SOG),underzerotideconditions.
Theobjectofspeedcalibrationistoensurethatthespeedreadings
attheinstrumentsaretrueindicationsoftheboatspeed.
Speedtransducerperformanceisaffectedbyitspositionand
water-owcharacteristicsatdifferentspeeds.Itisadvisabletocarry
outcalibrationatvariousspeedsacrosstherangeofyourboat.
Calibratingspeed(conventionaltransducers)
Youwillneedanaccuratespeedoverground(SOG)value,e.g.
determinedfromaGPSconnectedintoyourSeaTalksystem.
Youwillneedtobeunderway,withsufcientspacetomaneuver
unhindered.
