What to do if the Razor BGC2243M Griddle burner won't light using the igniter?
    • J
      Jennifer LewisAug 16, 2025
If the burner of your Razor Griddle won't light using the igniter, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the LP gas tank valve is open and the regulator is securely attached. If the tank is low or empty, replace or refill it. Cooking residue on the wires or electrode can also be the culprit, so try cleaning them with rubbing alcohol. If the electrode and burners are wet, wipe them dry. For cracked/broken electrodes, loose/disconnected wires, shorting wires, or a bad igniter, replacement parts may be needed, so contact Customer Care.

Why is the flame yellow or orange on my Razor BGC2243M?
    • J
      Joseph SuttonAug 20, 2025
If the flame on your Razor Griddle is yellow or orange, it could be due to a few reasons. If it's a new burner, residual manufacturing oils might be present; burn the griddle for 15 minutes on high with the lid closed. Spider webs or insect nests in the venturi can also cause this issue, so clean the venturi. Additionally, food residue or grease on the burners can affect the flame, so ensure they are clean. Finally, check the alignment of the valve to the burner/venturi tube to ensure they are properly engaged.

Why is there a sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height on my Razor Griddle?
    • J
      John YoungAug 22, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height in your Razor Griddle can occur if the LP gas tank is out of gas; in this case, exchange, refill, or replace the LP gas tank. Alternatively, the overfilling prevention device may have been activated. To address this: turn the control knobs to “ OFF”, wait 30 seconds, and light the griddle. If flames are still too low, reset the overfilling prevention device by turning the control knob(s) “ OFF”, turning the LP gas tank valve to “CLOSED”, disconnecting the regulator, turning control knobs to and (HIGH), waiting 1 minute, turning control knobs to “ OFF”, reconnecting the regulator and leak checking connections, and lighting the griddle.

What to do if the Razor BGC2243M burner will not light with a match?
    • M
      Mallory MartinAug 26, 2025
If the burner of your Razor Griddle won't light with a match, several issues could be the cause. First, check if the LP gas tank is empty and exchange, refill, or replace it if needed. If the tank isn't empty, there might be no gas flow, refer to “Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height”. Ensure the coupling nut and regulator are fully connected by tightening the coupling nut by hand until a solid stop. Also, check for any obstruction of gas flow by clearing the burner/venturi tube and inspecting for bent or kinked hoses. Make sure the burner is properly engaged with the valve, and clean the burner/venturi tube to remove any spider webs or insect nests. Finally, clean any clogged or blocked burner ports.

Why does the flame go out on my Razor Griddle?
    • J
      Justin WilliamsAug 31, 2025
If the flame on your Razor Griddle goes out, it could be due to high or gusting winds; avoid using the griddle in such conditions. It could also be due to low LP gas, so exchange, refill, or replace the LP gas tank. Alternatively, the overfilling prevention device may have been activated; refer to “Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height”.
