If your RBI Water Heater experiences flame failure, here are some steps to troubleshoot: 1. If the boiler sparks, lights briefly, and then goes out: * Disconnect the flame sensor cable and retry ignition. If the flame stays lit, let the boiler run for a few minutes, then reattach the cable. * If the problem continues, remove the flame sensor and inspect the burner through the sensor opening. If metal fibers protrude from the burner, use a blunt probe to move them away from the sensor. * If the issue persists, replace the flame sensor. 2.
