Sensor Cable Installation Around Poles
• Create a drop loop around the poles. This allows the cable to move freely with the fence without
catching on the pole. Ideal spacing is 2-3 fingerbreadths (2.5 - 4 inches) between the cable and the
pole on a taught fence. After the cable is strapped around the pole push the cable down so it be close
to/resting on the pole to avoid movement from wind.
• If the fence is loose, please create a larger drop loop to compensate for increased fence movement.
• Do not run the cable between the pole and the fence! This will result in false alarms during
natural fence movement due to weather.
