Sensor Cable Installation Around Poles
Create a drop loop around the poles. This allows the cable to move freely with the fence without
catching on the pole. Ideal spacing is 2-3 fingerbreadths (2.5 - 4 inches) between the cable and the
pole on a taught fence. After the cable is strapped around the pole push the cable down so it be close
to/resting on the pole to avoid movement from wind.
If the fence is loose, please create a larger drop loop to compensate for increased fence movement.
Do not run the cable between the pole and the fence! This will result in false alarms during
natural fence movement due to weather.
