that provides a 30% wider picture.

The camcorder has a 16x9 recording
mode that lets you make recordings
compatible with the 16x9 format. When
the 16x9 mode is activated, the camcorder
records black bars at the top and bottom
of the picture to produce the wide-screen
effect. This is also known as "letter box"
recording.
Do not use this fo_at _nl_ss _ti_i_%_ _
compatible 16x9 TV. When played back
on a regular TV, the black bars appear in
the picture.
To record using the 16x9 mode
Switch in CAMERA
Button
1. During recording, press the 16x9
button to activate the 16x9 mode.
