Start Recording
Press and release the thumb trigger to start and stop
recording. You do not have to hold the thumb trigger to
record. An electronic alarm beeps once when you press the
thumb trigger to start recording. The alarm beeps twice
when you
pr?s
the thumb trigger again to pause recording.
The REC indicator appears in the viewfinder when the
camcorder is recording.
Important Note: Use
the thumb trigger for brief recording pauses.
If you plan to stop recording for a longer period, slide the
POWER
switch to turn off the camcorder’s power. If the camcorder remains
in
the record-pause mode for more than five minutes,
it will turn off.
To
resume recording, slide the
POWER
switch to turn the
camcorder
back on, and
press the thumb trigger to start recording.

Use the camcorder’s special recording features
A. Zoom in and out: Press the power zoom button

zoom in on a subject, or press
“w”
to zoom away from a

B. Fade in and out of scenes:

To fade into the scene you want to record, place the
camcorder in the record-pause mode. Press the FADER
