Microphon
The built-in
mIcrophone
picks up the sound during recording. It

Play back what you have recorded
Place the camcorder in the record-pause mode.
Slide the PLAY MODE button to flip the CAMERA/PLAY
MODE control panel into the PLAY MODE position.
Press the REW (rewind) button to rewind the tape.

button to play the tape.
When you are finished
Press the thumb trigger to pause recording or press the STOP
button to stop playback.
If you want to rewind the tape. make sure the CAMERA/PLAY
MODE control panel is in the PLAY MODE position, and then
press the REW (rewind) button.
Slide the
EJECT
button to open the cassette door, remove the
cassette, and push the cassette door shut.
Slide the POWER switch to turn off the camcorder. The
POWER indicator will turn off.
Tape Positioning
When the CAMERA/PLAY MODE control panel is in the PLAY
MODE position and the camcorder is stopped, you can quickly
fast-forward or rewind the tape.
l Press the FF (fast forward) button to fast-forward the tape.
Press the
STOP
button to stop fast forwarding the tape.
l Press the REW (rewind) button to rewind the tape. Press the
STOP
button to stop rewinding the tape.
Full-Auto Feature
When the
CAMERA/PL4Y
MODE control panel is in the
CAMERA position, press the FULL AUTO button to turn the
full-
auto feature on. The indicator above the FULL AUTO button
will light when the full-auto feature is on.
l Turn the full-auto feature on when you want the camcorder to
automatically control
the
focus, gain (light entering the
camcorder), and shutter speed.
l Turn the full-auto feature off when you want to focus manually,
add more light to the camcorder, or manually select a shutter
speed. The full-auto feature is automatically turned off when
you manually adjust the focus, gain, or shutter speed.
Electronic Alarm
The camcorder has an electronic alarm that beeps to alert
YOU
when the camcorder is recording or entering the record-pause
mode.
l The alarm beeps once when you press the thumb trigger to
begin recording.
l The alarm beeps twice when you press the thumb trigger to put
the camcorder in the record-pause mode.
