Why is there considerable noise in radio broadcasts on my RCA Home Theater System?

If you're getting considerable noise in radio broadcasts on your RCA Home Theater System, try tuning to the correct frequency and ensuring the antenna is connected properly. Route any RF (AC-3) and digital cables away from the antenna terminals and wires. For FM, fully extend the FM wire antenna and position it for the best reception, securing it to a wall. If the signal is weak, connect an outdoor FM antenna. For AM, adjust the direction and position of the AM antenna for best reception. If the signal is still weak, connect an additional internal or external AM antenna. Also, try turning off or moving any other equipment that might be causing interference, such as fluorescent lights or motors. Place the antenna farther away from the equipment causing the noise.
