Assembly: Assembly involves attaching the loop handle, cutting attachment guard, drive disc, and locking pin. The loop handle should be adjusted to a comfortable position. The cutting equipment (trimmer head) is then attached.

Fueling: The product uses a two-stroke engine, requiring a premixed fuel of gasoline and two-stroke oil. RedMax alkylate premixed fuel is recommended for optimal performance and engine life. If not available, high-quality unleaded gasoline with a maximum of 10% ethanol and RedMax two-stroke oil (or equivalent air-cooled two-stroke oil) should be used. Fuel should be mixed outdoors, away from sparks or flames, and the product should be moved at least 3 meters (10 feet) from the refueling area before starting.

Starting the Product: To start, use protective gloves, hold the product body on the ground, and pull the starter rope handle. The choke control is used for cold starts. The cutting attachment starts to rotate immediately when the engine starts with the choke on.

Stopping the Product: Move the stop switch to the stop position to stop the engine. The stop switch automatically returns to its initial position to prevent accidental starting.

Trimming Techniques:

Grass trimming with a trimmer head: Hold the trimmer head at an angle just above ground level. Avoid pressing the trimmer head against the ground. Decrease trimmer line length to 10-12 cm (4-4.75 in.) for better control. Reduce engine speed to minimize plant damage. Use 80% throttle when trimming near objects.
Sweeping grass: Hold the trimmer head parallel to and above the ground. Apply full throttle and move the trimmer head side to side to sweep cut grass from an area.
Cutting grass: Keep the trimmer line parallel to the ground.

Maintenance Features

Daily Maintenance:

Replace spark plug, ensuring suppressor is fitted.

Specific Maintenance Procedures:

Adjusting idle speed: Adjust the idle adjustment screw (marked "T") until the cutting attachment stops rotating at idle. If it doesn't stop, contact a servicing dealer.
Muffler maintenance: Stop the product and let it cool. Visually check for damage. If equipped with a spark arrester screen, clean it if blocked or replace it if damaged. Ensure the spark arrestor mesh is correctly attached.
Cooling system maintenance: Clean cooling system components (air intake, flywheel fins, cylinder fins) weekly or more frequently in rough conditions to prevent overheating.
Air filter maintenance: Clean the air filter regularly. Replace if damaged or cannot be fully cleaned. Clean the inner surface of the air filter cover. Check the rubber seal on the air filter.
Bevel gear maintenance: The bevel gear is factory-filled with grease and should be 3/4 full. Use RedMax special grease. Grease does not need to be changed unless repairs are carried out.
