Do you have a question about the RedMax BCZ265S and is the answer not in the manual?
This document is an operator's manual for the RedMax BCZ265S and BCZ265TS grass trimmers, providing detailed information on their function, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.
The RedMax BCZ265S and BCZ265TS are combustion engine-powered grass trimmers designed for cutting grass. The product is continuously being improved for safety and operational efficiency. The primary function is grass trimming using a cutting head with flexible trimmer line or plastic blades. It is not intended for other tasks like brush cutting.
The product incorporates several safety features, including a throttle trigger lockout to prevent accidental acceleration, a stop switch to quickly shut down the engine, and a cutting attachment guard to protect the operator from ejected objects and accidental contact with the cutting attachment. A vibration damping system is integrated to minimize vibrations in the handles, enhancing user comfort and reducing fatigue. The muffler is designed to keep noise levels to a minimum and direct exhaust fumes away from the operator. Some models may include a spark arrester screen in the muffler to prevent sparks from escaping, which is important for fire safety. The cooling system, comprising air intake, flywheel fins, cylinder fins, cylinder cover, muffler cover, and muffler plate, works to maintain optimal engine temperature and prevent overheating.
The manual provides the following technical data for both BCZ265S and BCZ265TS models:

The manual outlines several usage features and safety precautions:
Product Overview: The product features a trimmer head, bevel gear with grease filler cap, cutting attachment guard with a trimmer line cutter, shaft, loop handle, throttle trigger, stop switch, throttle trigger lockout, spark plug cap and spark plug, cylinder cover, air filter cover, fuel tank, starter handle, air purge bulb, choke control, handle adjustment, drive disc, operator's manual, and a combination wrench.
Assembly: Assembly involves attaching the loop handle, cutting attachment guard, drive disc, and locking pin. The loop handle should be adjusted to a comfortable position. The cutting equipment (trimmer head) is then attached.
Fueling: The product uses a two-stroke engine, requiring a premixed fuel of gasoline and two-stroke oil. RedMax alkylate premixed fuel is recommended for optimal performance and engine life. If not available, high-quality unleaded gasoline with a maximum of 10% ethanol and RedMax two-stroke oil (or equivalent air-cooled two-stroke oil) should be used. Fuel should be mixed outdoors, away from sparks or flames, and the product should be moved at least 3 meters (10 feet) from the refueling area before starting.
Starting the Product: To start, use protective gloves, hold the product body on the ground, and pull the starter rope handle. The choke control is used for cold starts. The cutting attachment starts to rotate immediately when the engine starts with the choke on.
Stopping the Product: Move the stop switch to the stop position to stop the engine. The stop switch automatically returns to its initial position to prevent accidental starting.

Specific Maintenance Procedures:
Troubleshooting: The manual includes troubleshooting guides for common issues such as the engine not starting (stop switch in stop position, starter pawls stuck, incorrect fuel, dirty/wet spark plug, incorrect electrode gap, loose spark plug, incorrect idle speed, clogged fuel filter) and the engine starting but stopping again (incorrect fuel, clogged air filter, incorrect idle speed, clogged fuel filter).
Transportation and Storage: Store and transport the product and fuel safely to prevent leaks, sparks, or open flames. Always use approved containers for fuel. For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank and clean the product. Ensure the transportation guard is fitted to the cutting attachment. Secure the product during transport. Remove the spark plug cap during long-term storage to prevent accidental starting. Allow the product to cool before storage.
