The mouse features high-speed data transfer with a polling rate that can be adjusted to 125Hz, 250Hz, or 500Hz, with 500Hz being the default setting, providing responsive and precise control crucial for gaming.

At its core, the M690 is equipped with a Pixzart 3330 sensor, specifically chosen to meet the demanding needs of gamers. This sensor ensures high performance while maintaining low power consumption, contributing to longer battery life. The mouse offers six adjustable DPI settings: 800, 1200, 1600, 2400, 3200, and 4800 CPI, with 1200DPI set as the factory default. A convenient DPI indicator allows users to easily identify the current DPI setting; the LED will flash a specific number of times corresponding to each DPI level (one flash for 800DPI, two for 1200DPI, three for 1600CPI, four for 2400DPI, five for 3200DPI, and six for 4800DPI). This feature enables quick on-the-fly adjustments to suit different gaming scenarios or tasks.

The M690 incorporates RF motion detecting light sources for accurate tracking. It also boasts programmable buttons, allowing users to customize functions to their preference, though the left key is not available for reprogramming. For power efficiency, the mouse includes a multi-stage power saving mode and supports a power on/off function. The Nano receiver is designed to be very small, allowing it to remain plugged into a PC or notebook's USB port without causing interference. Its portable design also allows it to be stored in a dedicated slot next to the battery compartment within the mouse body, making it convenient for travel and ensuring the receiver is not lost.

To set up the mouse, users simply need to locate the wireless mouse and Nano receiver in the package, plug the Nano receiver into a USB port on their PC, and then open the battery cover (as shown in the pictures) to install one AA battery correctly. After switching on the power at the bottom of the mouse, the LED indicator will flash for a few seconds, signaling that the mouse is ready for operation.

The M690 also features a reconnection capability. Both the mouse and Nano receiver have a built-in code, allowing for a one-to-one or one-to-many pairing. Reconnection may be necessary under conditions of high temperature, strong magnetic fields, or strong vibrations. To reconnect, users should unplug and replug the Nano receiver into the USB port, then move the RF mouse within 50CM of the receiver, reinstall the battery, and press any key. This entire operation must be completed within 15 seconds. Once reconnected, the mouse will be ready to work.
