b) Programming the Special Functions
All special functions of the speed controller can be programmed very simply and comfortably via the enc-
losed programing card.
Proceed as follows for programming:

Description of the programmed special functions
Note:
When the programming card is connected to the speed controller, the motor is deactivated for
reasons of safety.
„Cut-off Voltage“ Function: Undervoltage protection
IfLiPorechargeablebatteriesareused,thenyoumustensurethatthelow-voltageprotectionisactivatedand

ThespeedcontrollermeasuresthevoltageoftheconnectedLiPodrivebatterywhenswitchingon.Ituses
this voltage to calculate the cell number (e.g. 2 or 3 cells). Depending on the deactivation voltage set in

When this setting is chosen, connect a fully charged LiPo drive battery, but never a partially charged one.
Otherwise,thecorrectcellnumbercannotberecognisedcorrectly.
• „None“(noundervoltageprotection)
This setting must only be chosen if you operate the speed controller with a NiMH drive battery.
• „5V“,„6V“,„9V“,„12V“(xedvoltagevalue)
Thesesettingscanbeusedtospecifyaxedvoltagevalueforundervoltageprotection.
Thesetting„5V“must,however,notbeusedforany2-or3-cellLiPodrivebattery!
Function „Auto-LiPo Cut off Volts/Cell“: Cell voltage for undervoltage protection
Ifthesetting„AutoLiPo“ischoseninthefunction„CutOffVoltage“,youmustsetthecellvoltageherewhen
the speed controller is to switch off the motor.
The speed controller measures the voltage of the connected LiPo drive battery when switching on (this must
befullyloaded).Itusesthisvoltagetocalculatethecellnumber(e.g.2or3cells).

This also corresponds to the brake function of a conventional electric motor (a brushless electrical motor
does not have any strong magnets that brake the rotor).
Avaluefrom0%to30%canbesetinstepsof5%;thedefaultsettingis10%.
Function „Brakes Strength“: Brake force
The speed controller unit allows proportional braking strength depending on the setting of the transmitter
lever. A high setting (e.g. 100%) decreases braking distance but has a negative effect on the lifetime of the
drive(specicallyforthedrivepinionandthemaingear).Thebrakeisswitchedoffforthesetvalue„0%“.

A higher setting also should only be used on loose underground, since otherwise there may be an overload

„Motor Timing“ Function: Brushless motor timing

vehicle).Thedefaultsettingis„Normal“;„Reverse“reversestherotatingdirection.
