Commissioning of the Speed Controller, Switching On/Off
Caution!
Place the model vehicle so that the drive wheels do not touch the ground or any objects. Do not
touchthedrivemechanismanddonotblockit!Riskofinjury!
When the trimming at the transmitter has been changed, the motor can start up at once after the
speedcontrollerisactivated!

Dangerofexplosion/burns!
When plugging in the fully charged battery, a small spark may appear at the plug contacts (plop-
ping sound). This is normal, because in this moment, the input capacitors of the speed controller
arebrieychargedwithahighpowerimpulse.

Function Test of the Speed Controller
Iftheoperatingleverforthedrive/brakefunctionatthetransmitterisinthemiddleposition(neutralposition),
the wheels of the model must not turn.
Ifyoumovetheoperatingleverforthedriving/brakefunctiontowardsforwarddriving(pulltowardsthehand-
le), the powered wheels of the model must turn in the forward direction.
Then move the operating lever from the forward position towards reverse driving without stop (push away
from the handle of the transmitter). Now the powered wheels of the model must be braked.
To switch to reverse driving, let the operating lever snap back to the middle position (neutral position) and
move it towards reverse driving after a brief pause (push away from the handle). The powered wheels of the
model now need to turn towards reverse driving.
Reverse driving is, of course, only possible if the speed controller has been programmed accordingly (drive
function„FWDtoBrakeandReverse“isselected).Forthedrivefunction„ProportionalRev.LockOut“,the

Troubleshooting
The speed controller does not work and the fan is not running.
• Switchonthespeedcontroller.
• Checkthedrivebatteryandthewiringbetweenthedrivebatteryandthespeedcontroller.

The motor stops suddenly.
• Eitherthemodelisoutsideoftransmitterrangeandreceivesnocontrolsignalfromthereceiver,orthe

• Checktheprogrammingofthespeedcontroller(withtheprogrammingcard).
Maintenance and Care
The speed controller is maintenance-free for you. Do not disassemble it.
Beforecleaning,turnthespeedcontrolleroffandcompletelydisconnectthedrivebatteryfromthespeed
controller.Ifyouhavedriventhevehiclebefore,letthespeedcontrollercooldowncompletelyrst.
Clean the speed controller, e.g. with a long-haired clean brush and a vacuum cleaner. Compressed air
aerosols can also be helpful.
