• Damage to the heating system (due to scaling, for example).
– When limit values are exceeded, the filling and make-up water for the heating system must be treated
according to DIN EN 12828.
The fitting is used to soften or desalinate water from a make-up system for heating systems. It is installed in the make-up lines of heating
systems. The fitting is a compact unit and consists of a filter head with filter housing. The filter housing contains a cartridge that can be
replaced, when required. The cartridge it filled with ion resin. Depending on the size of the heating system, the fitting is operated with
one cartridge or as a fitting group with two cartridges.
The fitting allows the treatment of the make-up water using either of two methods. To identify the variant used, the cartridges have
different housing colours:
• Green: Fillsoft for softening the make-up water.
• Grey: Fillsoft Zero for desalinating the make-up water.
Do not combine the Fillsoft and Fillsoft Zero cartridges.
Follow DIN EN 1717 and install the fitting downstream of a system isolator.
– Pressure fluctuations from the make-up system are equalised.
– The return flow of the make-up water is prevented.
If you use an old version of Filter head (to 2015, without brass thread), please change the direction of flow to improve
the demineralization.
Immediately after receipt of the goods, please check the shipment for completeness and damage. Please notify us immediately of any
transport damage.
