TYPICAL 12 VOLT LOWER HELM BREAKER PANEL
The sub-panel is controlled by the dash main breaker lo-
cated on the battery management center panel.
The skipper should learn the location of all DC breakers
on the vessel and the equipment they protect. For exam-
ple, a breaker may trip on the sub-panel but may not trip
the breaker on the battery management panel. Knowing
his breaker location will aid the skipper in troubleshoot-
ing problems faster.
Remember, always nd why a breaker “blows” before re-
setting it. Refer to the technical drawing section for ad-
ditional information.
Note: A portion of the DC circuit protection is provided
by the fuse block in the galley area as mentioned earlier
in this chapter.
