This dryer is suitable for use by individuals aged 8 years and above, as well as those with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the associated hazards. Children under 8 years should not operate or clean the appliance without supervision.
Function Description
The PROluxe Dryer is primarily used for drying hair and creating various styles. It features a powerful airflow system and multiple heat and speed settings to cater to different hair types and styling needs. The dryer comes with several attachments to enhance its functionality:
- Styling Concentrator Attachment (7mm slim concentrator): This attachment focuses the airflow for precise styling, ideal for creating smooth styles and directing heat to specific sections of hair.
- Diffuser Attachment: Designed to enhance natural curls and waves, the diffuser attachment disperses airflow gently, helping to add volume and define texture without disturbing the curl pattern.
- Cool Shot Function: This feature provides a burst of cool air to set hairstyles, helping to ensure longer-lasting results after heat styling.
- Style Shot Function: This unique feature works across all temperature and speed settings, increasing air temperature to ensure optimum heat is used for styling, contributing to longer-lasting styles.
The dryer operates by drawing air through an inlet grille, heating it, and then expelling it through an outlet grille. The heat and speed can be adjusted using dedicated selector switches.
Usage Features
To use the PROluxe Dryer, start by washing and conditioning hair as normal, then towel-dry to remove excess moisture and comb through. Hairsprays, which contain flammable material, should not be used while operating the product.
- Attachment Installation: Accessory attachments (concentrators or diffuser) are fitted to the front of the hairdryer and locked in place by twisting clockwise. Users should exercise caution as attachments can become hot during use.
- Power and Settings: Once plugged into the mains power supply, the dryer can be switched on. Users can select the desired speed setting (low or high) using the speed selector switch and the desired heat setting (low, medium, or high) using the heat selector switch.
- Drying Techniques:
- For fast drying, the high heat/high speed function is recommended.
- To create smooth styles, use the concentrator attachment with a round hairbrush (not included) while drying.
- For enhancing natural curls and waves, attach the diffuser. Turn the head upside down and gently place hair into the diffuser bowl, slightly rotating the dryer as you style.
- To create extra volume at the roots, keep the head upright and place the diffuser against the top of the head, gently rotating the hairdryer to allow the diffuser fingers to massage the scalp. This should be done carefully to avoid burning the scalp, using a medium heat/low speed setting. The diffuser should not be used on the highest heat setting.
- Setting Styles: To set a style, press the cool shot button.
- Longer-Lasting Styles with Style Shot: For best results, dry hair to about 70-80% dryness without using the style shot setting. Then, turn off the dryer, section the hair, and fit the styling concentrator attachment (or the 7mm concentrator). Select the style shot setting and turn the dryer on. Using a hairbrush, work on one section at a time, running the concentrator down the hair until the section is dry. Once a section is dry, select the cool shot and run the concentrator down that section again to help set the style.
