7.16 Flying without Doors
Flying without doors is allowed for the REMOS GX. To take out the
door, follow this procedure:
1.
Unlock the door, by rotating back the door lock handle.
2. Disconnect the gas spring on the door (clip-fastener) and
place it behind seat backrest.
3. Unlock the hinges by pushing the securing pin (red knob)
forward. Prevent door from falling down unintentionally.
4. Push out the unlocked door by hand (heavy!!).
5. Stow door and securing pin at safe location outside the
aircraft.
If you want to fly without doors, it is required to take out either one
door or both doors. It is prohibited to unlock and open doors in flight.
For flight without doors, never exceed speed is reduced to
V
NE
= 100 kts = 110 mph.
Note:
Flying without doors leads to high wind velocities inside
the cabin. Every item inside the cabin must be secured to
prevent flying around in the cabin or falling out of the
aircraft. This may lead to severe injuries or even death.
Take care for your health when flying without doors and
chose your clothing according to the climate and wind
conditions.
