8.13 Main Gear Servicing
The REMOS GX is equipped with a steel main gear. As with the
fuselage, the main gear requires no regular servicing. The hydraulic
hoses of the brake system are located hidden from the strut covers.
A visual check for scratches, cracks and tire condition has to be
carried out prior to each flight. Repair works to the main gear must
only be conducted by skilled and authorized persons. No welding of
any part of the whole assembly is allowed. In case of damage the
defective part must be replaced. Air pressure within the tires should
be maintained at 29 to 34 psi. Please also check slip marking on
each wheel prior to every flight. With the steel main gear installed,
you may also operate the plane without the wheel fairings installed.
8.14 Hydraulic Brakes and Wheels
The REMOS GX wheels consit of three aluminum rims connected to
a wheel hub, a multiply tire is installed together with an inner tube.
Please watch for correct air pressure to avoid damage to the wheels.
A hydraulic brake system with a single brake disc is installed to each
wheel of the main gear.
