8.21 Aircraft Structure and Paintwork
The whole airframe of the REMOS GX is produced to the latest
procedures of carbon fiber composite technique. We only use
certified epoxy resins for construction, which guarantees the most
possible durability of the aircraft structure.
A highly developed vacuum production process enables a constantly
high stability while maintaining minimum component weight of each
single part.
This applied process in conjunction with premium 2-component
acrylic paint allows to leave out the common heavy gel coat layer
which additionally contributes to the low aircraft weight.
Great care has to be taken at all repair works to structural composite
components. If ever the primer layer of a part has been sanded
through, it has to be discarded! This applies to all structural parts
like: stabilizer, wings, composite main gear.
If in doubt contact our technical support for inspection of the
damaged part before proceeding the repair works.
The original paint work of the aircraft is done with acrylic 2-
component paint as used in the automotive industry, the following
paint code is used:
RAL 9003
