SEAT BELTS (3/6)
When the vehicle speed is below ap-
proximately 12 mph (20 km/h), the
graphic 6 or 7 appears during approx-
imately 60 seconds every time one of
the rear seat belts is fastened or unfas-
tened.
When the vehicle speed is above ap-
proximately 12 mph (20 km/h), if one of
the rear seat belts is or becomes unfas-
tened, the
ß warning light flashes
on the central display A and the indi-
cator for the seat concerned appears
in black and a beep sounds during ap-
proximately 30 seconds.
In all cases, check that the rear pas-
sengers are wearing seat belts and that
the number of seat belts shown as fas-
tened matches the number of rear seat
places occupied.
Note: an object placed on one of the
rear seats may activate the warning
lights in some cases.
Rear seat belt reminder (depending
on vehicle)
The ß warning light is displayed on
the central display A when the ignition
is switched on. Depending on the ve-
hicle, it may be accompanied by the 6
or 7 graphic which indicates the fasten-
ing status of each of the rear seat belts
each time:
switching on the ignition;
opening a door;
fastening or unfastening of a rear
seat belt.
6 7
Understanding the graphic 6 or 7:
white symbol: seatbelt fastened;
black symbol: seatbelt unfastened.
Note: depending on the version, the
number of marks indicated on graphic 6
or 7 may vary according to the number
of rear seats fitted in the vehicle.
The
ß warning light and the
graphic 6 or 7 switch off after approx-
imately 60 seconds.
