STAGE 5 Driver’s Position
AIR CONDITIONING AND HEAT PUMP
The heat pump on KANGOO Z.E. is a reversible air-conditioning system. Show
the customer the heatingand air conditioningcontrols.
Tell them what each control does:
1 Air recycling control.
2 Adjust the air temperature and select the heating programming, air
conditioning programme.
3 Adjust the ventilation speed.
4 Adjust the distribution of air in the passenger compartment.
5 De-icing and demisting control and indicator light for the de-
icing rear window and the de-icing door mirrors.
6 Control and light for starting the A/C air conditioning
(subject to vehicle).
7 Switch off heating. In the off position, the heating stops
consuming power.
Tell the customer that the heat pump is effective for heating in the -
5°c/10°c range of outside temperature; similarly, it does not work in
cooling mode below 10°C.
• Outside temperature < 10°C In this mode, air coming into
the passenger compartment is not dehumidified.
• Outside temperature > 10°C The cold circuit of the heat pump
is in operation. In this mode (A/C air conditioning), air coming into
the passenger compartment is cooled and then reheated, thus
dehumidifying it. Demisting is therefore quicker.
►To optimise the heating and air conditioning performances, the
interior and exterior ventilation can run for up to 15 minutes
after turning off the engine.
►Say that the preconditioning starts 30 minutes before the
programmed time.
►Say that the vehicle must be connected to the mains with
a charge of more than 90% for the preconditioning function to
start.
►The function automatically switches off 10 minutes after the
programmed time.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
In heating mode, explain to the customer that there is always an audible banging inside or outside the vehicle for a few
seconds after the engine is switched off.
This also happens while driving when the air conditioning is switched off (ventilation switch-off control).

VEHICLE PRECONDITIONING
This function turns on the heating in cold weather and the air
conditioning in warm weather.
Conditions:
The battery charge must be
above 90%.
The vehicle must be plugged into
the mains.
Control2 must be in one of the
positions (hot or cold)
To programmethe start time of the function:
• Navigate in the menu using buttons C and D until the message
“COMFORT PROG” appears.
• Long press on button Don the pad 5, the hour flashes.
• Short press on button C to adjust the hour.
• Long press on button D on the pad 5, the minutes flash.
• Short press on button C to adjust the minutes.
• Confirm with a long press on the button D on the pad 5.
The message “COMFORT PROG” and the programmed time are
displayed on the dashboard 4.
