Trolley jack - Axle stands
Safety symbol (special precautions to be taken when carrying out operations)..
The vehicle must not be raised by placing the jack
beneath the front suspension arm or under the rear
axle.
Depending on the type of trolley jack, use sockets
Cha. 408-01 or Cha. 408-02 for accommodating the
cup Cha. 280-02.
To lift at the front or the rear of the vehicle, position the
jack beneath the side jacking points.
TROLLEY JACK AT THE SIDE
Use cup Cha. 280-02.
Position the jack beneath the valance at the level of
the front door.
Position the flange correctly in the groove of the cup.
AXLE STANDS
When the vehicle is to be placed on axle stands, these
must be positioned:
– either beneath the reinforcements provided for
raising the vehicle with the tool kit jack,
– or beneath the studs located behind the
reinforcements.
Axle stands are positioned at the rear by raising the
vehicle at the sides.

If a trolley jack is used, appropriate axle
stands must always be used.
