Problem Diagnostics/Solution Suggestions
Lack of steam distribu-
tion from the pipe
The steam pipe nozzle is obstructed,
clear it using a pin.
This problem is caused by immersing
the spout in the milk.
Clean the steam spout
after use.
Leakage from the
portalter
Possible causes:
1- The lower bowl sealing is worn or
encrusted.
2- The portalter is positioned
incorrectly on the group.
3- The lter in the portalter is dam-
aged.
In all of the above-
mentioned cases, call a
skilled technician
Too little coffee
dispensed
The coffee dispenses drop by drop,
the dispensing time is too long, the
quality of the coffee is not good and
presents a dark cream.
Possible causes:
1- The coffee grind is too ne.
2- The coffee into the portalter is
packed too tightly.
3- The portion in the lter holder is
excessive.
4- The small nozzle of the group is
obstructed.
5- The lter in the portalter is ob-
structed.
6- The pump pressure is too low [<9
bar (0.9 Mpa)], or the pump is not
working (volumetric pump version).
In cases 1 and 2, you will
need to adjust the grinder
correctly.
In cases 3 and 5, you will
need to call a technician.
In case 4, clean the lter or
replace it.
