f) Timer function
Press the VOLUME/POWER button (11) briefly to switch the device on. The STANDBY indicator (4) will go
off.
You can now listen to music as described further down in this operating manual.
To switch the device off after a defined period of time, press the TIMER/SLEEP button (8) repeatedly until
the desired time is set.
The duration until switch-off can be set in 10 minute steps from 90 to 10 minutes. The device will switch
to standby after the set duration.
The display will change to its normal operating display after a short time and SLEEP is shown in the
display if the timer function is activated.
If you want to deactivate the timer function before the set switch-off duration, press the TIMER/SLEEP
button (8) repeatedly until SLEEP is no longer shown in the display.
g) Radio operation
Tuning
Press the TUNER/BAND button (6) to select radio operation.
Press the TUNER/BAND button (6) again to the select the desired reception range (AM = medium wave
or FM = VHF).
Turn the TUNING/SKIP knob (23) to the right or left and keep it in this position for 1-2 seconds to
start a channel scan in the selected direction. The tuner will stop at the next station that can be received
well.
When turning the TUNING/SKIP knob (23) only briefly, the reception frequency will only be
changed by one step each time.
Saving stations manually
As soon as a station was found, it can be saved to the station memory. To do this, press the MODE/CLK
button (14).
Use the ALBUM/PRESET F button (19) or the ALBUM/PRESET S button (20) to set the desired station
memory and press the MODE/CLK button (14) again to complete the saving procedure.
To save other stations, repeat the procedure described for each station to be saved. You can store as
many as 30 VHF stations and 20 MW stations.
To call a station that is already saved, press the ALBUM/PRESET F button (19) or the ALBUM/PRESET S
button (20) repeatedly until the desired station memory is selected.
Saving stations automatically
Press the SCAN button (16).
The reception range is searched and all stations that can be received well are saved to the station
memory successively.
This procedure must be performed for the different bandwidths (MW and VHF) separately.
