5. Operating the B 25 amplifier
B 25 control panel
[1] POWER Switch the system on or to standby
mode
[2] PHONES Headphones socket
[3] Volume Volume control. The volume setting is
shown graphically as a bar on the dis-
play [4].
Power-on volume: The volume setting in effect when
power was switched off is automatically reestablished
when power is turned on again, however, this value is
limited to 20 dB below the maximum volume.
[4] Display Displays the selected source, the audio
volume, bass, treble and balance L/R
| ~ setting. |
[5] IR reception window for IR remote con-
trol commands
[6] LED, is ON in standby mode and while
an IR command is being received.
[7] <,> Listen to one of the following compo-
nents:
TUNER, TAPE, AUX, PHONO, CD.
Operation with the hand-held RC 28 infrared control
[D1] power
Switch the system to standby mode.
[A1]...[A3] CD, tuner, tape, phono, aux
Listen to the corresponding compo-
nent.
[C3], [D3] spkr A, B
Turn the speaker groups A orBonor off.
Speaker group A is always activated at
power on, regardless of the last selec-
tion before power off.
[A4], [B4] bass -/+
De-emphasize/boost the bass frequen-
cies.
[C4], [D4] treble -/+
De-emphasize/boost the treble fre-
quencies.
[A5] -20 dB |
Reduce the volume by 20 dB with each
key-stroke.
[B5] flat |
Restore the bass and treble to the neu-
tral setting (flat response curve).
[C5], [D5] bal -/+ : balance control: left/right.
[C6], [D6] vol -/+ : volume control.
Rear panel connectors on the B 25 amplifier.
[20] Inputs Cinchconnectors for PHONO MM, CD,
AUX, TUNER, TAPE IN.
[21] Terminal for the ground wire of the turn
table.
[22] Output. Cinch connectors for TAPE OUT.

Interconnection between the preampli-
fier arid power stage, established with
two U-link jumpers.
[24] H 207 Socket for external IR receiver.
[25] REMOTE TUNER/CD
Connecting sockets for operating the
components as an interconnected sys-
tem.
The TUNER and the CD PLAYER are
equipped with two matching control
sockets each.
[26] MULTIROOM
Socket for the multiroom AUDIO/DATA
bus (refer to the operating instructions
V 219/ MR Bass V).
[27] SPEAKERS
Screw-type speaker terminals for two
speaker pairs A and B.
[28] AC POWER Power inlet
