  If the Rhin-O-Tuff Binding Machine APES machine does not cycle and the paper pivot and ejection belt do not move, here are a few things to check: 1. Ensure the APES section is turned on by checking the power switch. 2. Verify the APES is plugged into the wall socket, checking both ends of the power cord. 3. Confirm the foot pedal or paper stop switch is correctly plugged into the machine. 4. If no paper stop switch is attached, ensure the APES is set to foot pedal mode. 5. Inspect the fuse to see if it has blown and replace if necessary.

Ensure the punch is plugged into the wall socket. 3. Verify that the APES is plugged into the punch at the foot pedal receptacle on the back. 4. Confirm that the die is locked in position by ensuring both die handles are up and locked. 5. If the punch is still not operating, plug the original foot pedal back into the punch and troubleshoot using the punch manual.

  If the APES ejection belt moves but the paper pivot does not: 1. The O-ring belt may need adjustment; the motor can be adjusted to tighten the belt. 2. The belt may need replacement; replace the belt by sliding it off of both pulleys.
