Steering counter tension is achieved by loosening or tightening
the tension block screw (Fig. 7 ). This dampens vibrations and
maintains your heading when the tiller is released.
2.6 USB port
The motor features an integrated USB port (5V/1A) for charging
phones or connecting lamps (Fig. 8).
2.7 Changing/attaching the propeller
CAUTION: Always disconnect the battery
before changing the propeller!
Use the propeller spanner supplied to loosen and remove the
lock nut, holding the propeller with one hand (Fig. 9) to prevent
it from turning. The locknut must not be loosened with hammer
blows or by similar means, as this could result in damage to
the locknut or shaft. The propeller can be easily removed after
removing the locking screw.
Assembly is done in reverse order. When  tting the new propel-
ler, make sure that the shear pin and groove match as intended,
otherwise the propeller cannot be attached properly.
After each use, check the propeller for any tangled lines or aquatic
plants and remove them if necessary.
3. MAINTENANCE
3.1 Maintenance and care of the motor
Rinse the motor thoroughly with running water.
The screws and moving parts of the motor suspension should
be lubricated with machine oil approx. every two weeks.
The electrical connections should be checked monthly for
corrosion. Replace defective connections or cables immediately
to avoid possible overheating.
For longer-term storage, make sure to keep the motor in a
well-ventilated, dry place.
Do not leave the motor outdoors during the winter, as this
could cause damage to the drive unit.
3.2 Troubleshooting
