Why is my RHINO Lawn Mower leaving streaks?
    • L
      laurie73Aug 8, 2025
Streaking during mowing with your RHINO Lawn Mower can occur due to several reasons. It might be due to slow blade speed, so ensure the PTO is operating at 540 RPM. Other potential causes include worn or dull blades, which require replacement with genuine RHINO blades or uniform sharpening, respectively. Adjusting your mowing speed to be slower while maintaining full PTO RPM can also help. Additionally, check for a loose drive belt and tighten it according to the instructions, or address a glazed/slipping belt by applying belt dressing or replacing it with a special RHINO belt. Make sure the blade is tightened securely to the spindle. Lastly, ensure the grass is dry before mowing, as wet conditions can also cause streaking.

What to do if my RHINO Lawn Mower is not discharging material properly?
    • D
      Daniel PattonAug 18, 2025
Material discharging issues with your RHINO Lawn Mower may arise due to several reasons. If the material is too high and too much, reduce ground speed while maintaining 540 RPM at the tractor PTO, or consider making two passes. If the material passes unevenly, raise the mower for the first pass and lower it to the desired height for the second pass, cutting at 90 degrees to the first pass. Additionally, ensure the rear of the mower is raised high enough to permit material to discharge, but not so high that other issues occur.

Why is the belt rolling over on my RHINO Lawn Mower?
    • L
      Laurie CollinsAug 23, 2025
If the belt on your RHINO Lawn Mower is rolling over, it could be due to pulley misalignment, which requires realignment. Another cause could be a damaged belt, in which case you should replace it. Also, inspect all pulley grooves for rust, paint, or weld spots and remove them, as foreign objects in the pulley grooves can cause the belt to roll over.

Why does the belt keep breaking on my RHINO Lawn Mower?
    • B
      basstommySep 2, 2025
Belt breakage on your RHINO Lawn Mower can occur due to high shock loads. To prevent this, avoid abusive mowing and hitting the ground or large obstructions. Another cause is the belt coming off the drive; check the drive alignment for foreign material in the grooves, ensure proper tension, and avoid hitting solid objects or the ground. If the belt does not lie flat (has lumps or twists), it must be replaced, and each mower head belt must be replaced as a set of two belts.

Why is the belt slipping on my RHINO Lawn Mower?
    • T
      tiffanybeltranNov 12, 2025
If your RHINO Lawn Mower is experiencing belt slipping, several factors could be the cause. The belt might be loose, requiring tightening or replacement with a special RHINO belt. It could also be glazed, in which case using belt dressing or replacement is recommended. Oil contamination can also cause slipping, so clean or replace the belt if necessary. Overloading the mower with material that is too tall or heavy can also cause the belt to slip, so reduce tractor ground speed while maintaining full PTO rpm. Be careful not to overlubricate, and if oil gets on the belt, clean it and the pulleys with a clean rag, replacing the belt if it's oil-soaked. Ensure the belt has free travel in the pulleys and belt guides, cleaning any material from under the mower. If the belt has frayed edges, real...
