Overview

This document describes the Ribiland PRJETF130/512616 and PRS20JETF130/512626 garden pumps and booster pumps, designed for clear water aspiration in domestic settings.

Function Description:

The Ribiland pumps are designed for aspirating clear water. The PRJETF130/512616 is a standard garden pump, while the PRS20JETF130/512626 is a booster pump system that optimizes water supply by limiting frequent on/off cycles and maintaining constant pressure. These pumps are suitable for common domestic uses such as gardening, irrigation systems, increasing water pressure in non-food distribution networks, pumping water from tanks, and jet washing. They are intended for installation in a dry, ventilated place, protected from weather and excessive heat.

The pumps are not designed for pumping seawater, wastewater, water containing solids (sand or abrasive particles), corrosive substances, or liquids with temperatures above 35°C. They should not be used for explosive, flammable, or dangerous liquids, nor for pumping water intended for human consumption or food liquids. These pumps are explicitly not intended for cleaning or maintenance of swimming pools, outdoor fountains, garden ponds, or similar applications. They are also not designed for industrial or commercial applications.

The electrical connection requires a 230V~50Hz power supply. The pump must be supplied by a circuit incorporating a residual current device (RCD) with a rated operating residual current not exceeding 30 mA. The connection cable must be at least H07 RN-F 3×1mm² (or larger).

Usage Features:

Unpacking and Initial Setup:

Upon unpacking, verify that the product and accessories are not damaged. The pump should be securely fixed to the ground or an adequate support, using the provided notches for bolts. To minimize vibrations, placing the device on an elastic support (e.g., a rubber mat) is recommended. The installation site must be well-ventilated and protected from weather. When used near garden ponds or swimming pools, the device must be set up to guard against overflowing and falling in. If operating indoors, ensure a floor drain or leak prevention mechanism is in place.

Electrical Connection:

Before connecting, ensure the mains voltage matches the pump's rating label and that the power cable is undamaged. Connect the plug to a 10/16A wall socket with a ground connection. Perform a dry run for 2-3 seconds to test functionality, but avoid prolonged operation without water to prevent permanent damage from overheating. Disconnect the pump from the power supply before connecting the suction and delivery lines. Electrical connections must be splash-proof, especially outdoors. Extension cords must have sufficient wire cross-section and be fully unwound.

Suction Line Connection (not supplied):

The suction hose must have a minimum diameter of 25 mm and be rigid enough to prevent crushing. For a perfect seal, use Teflon tape on all fittings. Flat gaskets or O-rings do not require Teflon. Regularly check gasket seals. Install a mesh filter at the end of the hose to filter aspirated water. Ensure the suction hose is not oriented upwards. If pumping from sandy or gravelly wells, position the filter 50 cm from the bottom or in a bucket at the bottom of the well. The suction hose should be as short as possible, gradually rising towards the pump to avoid air pockets. Ensure adequate water supply and that the suction hose is always submerged. The suction hose must not exert mechanical force or pressure on the pump. If the liquid is contaminated, an intake filter should be used to protect the pump from sand and dirt. It is crucial that the suction hose is equipped with a non-return valve. Before starting, check the suction hose for proper sealing; air bubbles indicate leaks.

Discharge Line Connection (not supplied):

The discharge hose must have a minimum diameter of 25 mm and be rigid enough to prevent crushing. Use Teflon tape on all fittings for optimal efficiency and to prevent leaks. All components of the discharge line must be pressure-resistant and installed by a qualified professional. Improper installation or non-pressure-resistant components can lead to disintegration and injury.

Operation:

Before starting, the pump body must be filled with water after each new connection or if water has been lost or air has entered. Prolonged dry operation will destroy the pump. Unscrew the filter cover (2), remove the filter, and fill the pump body completely with water using a container, avoiding splashing electrical parts. Replace and tighten the cover to prevent air intake. If the water level drops or discharge is incorrect, it indicates an air leak; recheck connections and refill the pump. To reduce priming time, fill the suction hose if it has a non-return valve. Start the pump, open the terminal (e.g., tap, spray gun) to allow air to escape until water flows uniformly. If water does not flow, check for leaks in the pump body, pipes, and fittings.

Booster Pump Specifics (PRS20JETF130/512626):

The booster pump starts and stops automatically. It starts when the pressure in the tank drops below approximately 1.5 bar and continues running until the pressure reaches about 3 bar. To stop the pump cycles, slowly close the discharge valve. Always follow these instructions to avoid creating excess pressure and "water hammer" effects.

Important Usage Advice:

Never operate the pump without water in the pump body, as prolonged dry operation can severely damage it. In case of power failure, unplug the pump or switch off its power. For prolonged non-use, ensure the power is switched off.

Maintenance Features:

General Maintenance:

Before any intervention, ensure the product is disconnected from its power source. In winter, the pump must be thoroughly drained or placed in a "frost-protected" condition. Regularly rinse the pump with clear water, including the suction circuit. Avoid pumping liquids containing abrasive materials like sand. Before restarting, ensure all pump parts are in good condition. Clean plastic parts with a soft, clean cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning products (solvents, detergents), abrasive sponges, or sharp objects.

Troubleshooting:

Never attempt to disassemble the pump. If necessary, have it checked and repaired by an authorized service center (consult your dealer).

Storage:

Clean the pump before storage. Store the product in a dry, ventilated location, out of reach of children, either at height or under lock and key.

Disposal:

At the end of its life, do not dispose of the product with household waste or in the environment. Take the product to a waste collection center for electrical and electronic equipment, or inquire with your local municipality. Dispose of the product, accessories, and packaging in accordance with local environmental protection regulations.
